Priority Estimation Challenge¶
Setup¶
Two teams take part in this activity.
Each team receives a short software issue and a task for estimating its priority using MoSCoW:
- Must
- Should
- Could
- Won’t
You will make your decision individually and secretly.
Do not discuss your choice with your teammates before everyone has voted.
Team A¶
You receive one issue.
Your task:
What MoSCoW priority should this issue have?
Choose exactly one:
Must / Should / Could / Won’t
Team B¶
You receive two issues.
One issue is the one you must prioritize. The other is provided as a comparison.
Your task:
What MoSCoW priority should the target issue have when compared with the other issue?
Choose exactly one:
Must / Should / Could / Won’t
Voting¶
Write your choice on a sticky note.
Make your decision alone and keep it hidden from your teammates.
When everyone is ready, hand in the sticky notes. The tutor reads and counts the votes.
A second tutor watches the voting to make sure everyone decides independently.
Fair play
Any attempt to copy, signal, coordinate, reveal, or change votes results in zero bonus points for the current week.
Scoring¶
For each team, we count how many members selected the same priority.
The largest matching group determines the team's score.
For example:
Must, Must, Must, Should, Could = gives 3 matching votes = 3 points.
